Chapman and Cutler LLP
A Future-Forward Chicago Office: A Century in the Making
Around the corner from Chicago's Union Station, the nationally acclaimed law firm Chapman and Cutler LLP has moved into its new home at 320 S. Canal Street, marking a significant moment in their history. After over a century in their previous location, this move signifies a forward-thinking shift for the firm. Their new office spans three floors in a 50-story, newly constructed building, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that provide sweeping views of the Chicago skyline.
Chapman and Cutler’s focus on future-proofing their workspace is evident in every detail. Designed by Perkins+Will and managed by Newmark, the new office is tailored for the evolving dynamics of hybrid work. Corporate Concepts was entrusted with furnishing the space to enhance flexibility, collaboration, and employee well-being.
The office includes 79 workstations and 159 private offices, all equipped with customized Reff offices and workstations by Knoll. To support collaboration and creativity, locally fabricated glassboards from Skyline Design were integrated into key areas. For seating, Knoll Generation task chairs were selected to ensure ergonomic comfort during long working hours.
Further enhancing the workspace are a range of ancillary pieces from Knoll, Wilkhahn, Geiger, Bernhardt, and Stylex, adding both functionality and a modern aesthetic to support productive work and team collaboration.
This new office reflects Chapman and Cutler’s blend of tradition and innovation, offering a workspace that fosters both history and a vision for the future.
