25 E Washington Atrium Club

The Atrium Club sits on the 7th floor of the landmark Burnham-designed tower 25 E Washington in Chicago’s Loop. Aspire Properties wanted to reimagine a floor in the historic building into an amenity floor thoughtfully designed to support its tenant’s work in the modern era. The space includes a lounge, indoor/outdoor bar, game room, and conference center all surrounding a 3,000 square foot open-air courtyard. In collaboration with Geniant + Eastlake Studio, Continua Interiors delivered fully integrated furniture and DIRTT architectural solutions, aligning architecture and interiors into one cohesive workplace experience. 

Blending work with well-being, the Atrium Club supports the full rhythm of the day as a collaborative workspace, social hub and restorative retreat. Lounges, community tables, and ROOM phone booths dispersed throughout the floor support both casual and focused work. The bar and lounges furnished by Bernhardt Design, OFS, and Stylex create a laid-back office atmosphere to collaborate and socialize with other tenants in the building. Seating and couches in the open-air courtyard provide the ultimate refresh and recharge opportunity right in the middle of the bustling city. Private meeting and conference rooms outfitted with Davis, Studio TK, and Hightower complete the spectrum as spaces for focused work or place to host guests and events.

In addition to procuring furniture, our architectural solutions team provided DIRTT wall products surrounding the courtyard and defining conference and meeting rooms in the open-concept space. The glass wall solutions from DIRTT maintain the open sightlines throughout the space and allow natural light from the courtyard to reach every part of the office. This integrated approach allowed for side-by-side selection of furniture while planning the visual appearance of walls across the space, resulting in a more intentional and polished finished product.

The Atrium Club at 25 E Washington is defining future-ready workplaces and exemplifies the value of enhancing the tenant experience in one of Chicago’s most iconic properties. The newly reinvigorated space creates an environment that draws teams back to the office and provides them a place to form meaningful connections and embrace flexible work.
