UW Health Eastpark Medical Center is an innovative outpatient facility offering major programs in cancer care, women’s complex care and proton therapy, among others. This large facility accommodates both telehealth and on-site care, including advanced imaging, lab and pharmacy services. The building’s highly sustainable model generates 30 percent of its energy from solar power, and achieved LEED Gold Certification, as well as the 2022 Silver Touchstone Award from the Center for Health Design.
Continua Interiors partnered with HKS to develop a future-minded workplace strategy that would serve both the facility’s medical staff and those seeking care there. We embraced the creative and human-centric attitude of UW Health to help craft a flexible space that’s both comfortable and functional.
During the fast-track design and multi-phase installation process, our team outfitted a range of rooms, including research labs, diagnostic imaging areas and over 250 exam rooms. Comprehensive furniture and architectural solutions were integrated into the facility, such as Herman Miller Nemschoff seating, MPS Acoustics and Miller Knoll Commend Reception / Greeter and Welcome centers, for which our team devised a unique workplace system.
The finished UW Health Eastpark Medical Center is a shining example of sophisticated functionality in the healthcare sector. This human-scale facility fully embodies both the expertise and compassion of its staff.
