BDO's new office is a testament to their commitment to a workplace where people can do their best work. With a design prioritizing sustainability and wellbeing, the space provides a variety of open and enclosed areas that support both collaboration and independent work. To bring this vision to life, the Continua team selected eco-friendly finishes and furniture that prove this is a workplace truly focused on what’s next. Continua Interiors provided all furnishings, as well as interior architecture solutions from our industry-leading partner DIRTT.
Designed to support BDO’s environmental values, the office boasts carefully-chosen finishes throughout, such as polished concrete floors, recycled carpet tiles and renewable cork wall coverings. The Continua team’s thoughtful material selections were central to this design strategy, meeting Gensler’s sustainability goals with a deep understanding of ecological responsibility.
The overarching design of the office prioritizes flexibility and employee options, offering a range of areas that support collaboration and independent work in equal measure. Continua Interiors furnished each space with care, adding comfort to relaxation areas like the Wellness Room with pieces such as the Hightower lounge chair and ottoman. This emphasis on comfort continues into the more traditional office zones, with MillerKnoll Newsome seating and height adjustable desks in focus rooms, as well as Pedrali Blume guest chairs in the conference room.
Through this commitment to employee health and wellness, the BDO Austin office was transformed into a dynamic workplace designed to adjust to workers’ preferences throughout the day. In collaboration with Gensler, Continua Interiors brought this ambitious vision into reality with furnishings that bolster a sense of community and sustainability among employees and shift effortlessly according to their needs.
