Edelman NYC

A multi-level HQ built to grow community and foster collaboration.

Edelman New York City 04

For the two-phase renovation of Edelman's multi-floor New York City headquarters, Continua Interiors worked alongside Gensler Chicago to translate their design vision into reality. Drawing on a well-established and trusted relationship, the team sourced and procured a wide range of furniture pieces that capture Edelman's communal workplace philosophy.

The scope of this project covered five floors in total, including an outdoor rooftop terrace, making it one of Edelman's largest projects to date. The workplace is built around "neighborhoods" – open collaborative zones in lieu of private offices – with each floor home to different teams and a mix of spaces designed to support different styles of work. From quick huddle spaces and individual focus spots to open communal areas for brainstorming, standing desks, and flexible configurations, every corner of the office is thoughtfully considered. Continua's ongoing partnership with Gensler Chicago allowed for seamless procurement and rapid turnaround throughout the project.

Knoll Bench workstations and Sit On It task seating provide comfort and ease for employees throughout the office, while ancillary pieces from manufacturers including Muuto, Enwork, Stylex, Bernhardt, Bludot and many more support a range of spaces — from huddle rooms to the conferencing center on the 15th floor, one of the brightest and most visually striking spaces in the building, featuring conference rooms of all sizes, lounge areas, and an open flexible space with booths for virtual meetings.

The kitchen and café serve as the social core of the office — the perfect place for teams to recharge, grab a bite, or simply enjoy a change of scenery throughout the day. Just beyond sits the rooftop terrace, with skyline views and lounge seating that makes it equally suited for focused work, casual connection, or office-wide events.

This is a truly modern workplace that prioritizes team engagement and the social fabric of the office. Thanks to Continua's established relationships with both Gensler Chicago and Edelman, this multi-level project flowed seamlessly from start to finish — furnishing the headquarters with pieces that embody the friendly and contemporary spirit of the company.
