HOK - St. Louis

HOK’s new St. Louis studio at Peabody Plaza is designed as a living laboratory for the future of hybrid work. Neighborhood-based planning allows for both focused and collaborative environments to support various work styles, neuroinclusive needs, and meaningful connection. Continua supported HOK by providing furniture to help translate the studio’s design-driven culture into a flexible, future-ready environment.

Dedicated social hubs, flexible meeting spaces, focus rooms, project areas, and collaborative spaces give teams a range of settings for how and where they work. Early technology integration ensured functionality was built into the design from the beginning to provide an equal meeting experience for in-person and virtual attendees.

A variety of collaborative work social hubs are spread across the office’s two floors. Hightower Flote lounge chairs paired with the Bernhardt Sunset sofa invites casual conversation and connection while nearby Enwork tables and Hightower Hari chairs create small touch down work zones. In the first-floor lounge, a convertible wall connects it to a presentation room, quickly transforming the space into a large hosting area.

Exposed structural elements, expressive architectural lighting, and tactile modern furnishings bring purpose to every corner of their new home. MillerKnoll workstations establish independent working zones within an open floorplan, while private offices, focus rooms, and meeting rooms offer more privacy. Furniture from manufacturers including OFS, Davis, Bernhardt, and Encore were carefully selected for each different type of space giving each its own unique purpose and flexibility to support varying work styles.

A 2,000-square-foot model shop and materials library bring the design process directly into the workplace, giving HOK’s teams the space and tools to explore, test, and carry ideas from concept through completion.
