A new headquarters designed for an elevated client and employee experience.
Livingstone Partners, a global mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, recently moved its Chicago headquarters to the River North neighborhood. The move gave Livingstone a chance to build a space that matched the caliber of its practice: a headquarters that could welcome clients, support focused deal work, and give the firm room to grow.
Continua Interiors and Shive-Hattery Architecture partnered with Livingstone from the planning stage through furnishing. Our team was responsible for translating Livingstone's workplace goals - a mix of private offices, focused work areas, and collaborative space - into specific product selections and managing the procurement process to get every piece into place.
The new headquarters was designed to make a bold first impression with polished finishes in client-facing areas while still having space and functionality for its employees. Private offices feature MillerKnoll wall-mounted height-adjustable desks, a specification choice that keeps cords and wiring tidy and out of sight to keep the space clutter-free. Additional Knoll workstations utilized in the open office space strike the right balance of privacy and collaboration opportunity. Various sizes of conference, huddle, and phone rooms are spread across the floorplan to support flexibility in different types of work. In the larger conference rooms, tables by Enwork feature soft stone corners that echo the rounded glass of the conference room’s walls.
Boasting impressive views just inside the door, the reception area is surrounded by glass walls that invite guests into the space. Around the corner, the café and lounge are the perfect spaces for an afternoon refresh or place to host guests. Our team selected furniture from Venue and Restoration Hardware to compliment the natural light flowing in from the floor to ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace overlooking the city allows for fresh air in a high-rise office.
Livingstone now has a Chicago headquarters that matches the level of its practice: a space built to impress clients, support focused work, and give the firm room to operate at full capacity in one of River North's newest buildings.
